Urban Habitat is a citywide program that works to demonstrate the viability of sustainable concepts and practices in urban environments through research, education, and various hands-on projects around the city of Chicago.

The Green Building Council inspects buildings to determine whether or not they have obtained any kind of LEED certification.

They do have an Environmental and Health & Nutrition Safety group that tries to identify an aid to needs that arise in the congregation.
